There are different versions of Framework, first version was .net framework 1.0 and latest one is 4.7
We can install .NET Framework by downloading its setup from MS website. There are 2 types of installation methods.
We have to download installer from MS website and then installer will connect to MS servers for the installation.
But, There are 2 cons for this kind of installation.
- We should be connected to the internet.
- We do not get full set up files.
In case, we have to install it on more than one system, then we have to again connect to the Internet, download installer and then installation.aha.
We can download the full package from the MS website and do the installation as many times. We can save this for future use and can do installation on many systems and with no Internet connection every time.

You can get below error while installation of .NET Framework 4.7.
Setup cannot continue because a dependent needs to be installed before you can install this product on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012.
So, there is an dependency on D3DComplier and you should have latest update for this.
You should install latest version of D3DComplier which is located on %windir%system32D3DCompiler_47.dll file for WPF.
