How to Resolve Windows 10 Resolution Issues

Windows 10 has a very common problem that a lot of users have complained about.

As much as Windows 10 was a hit and everyone loved it, it also had a resolution issue that many had an issue with.

A number of people complained that after they installed it, the screen appeared extraordinarily stretched.

This problem could be because of two main reasons: either the screen resolution that has been set is incorrect, or the graphics drivers are not working fine.

Often, you would've noticed that when you download a game, it is not at the desired resolution.

Either the screen is too stretched, or it is too narrow. In such a case, you should check if your screen resolution is okay.

There are different resolutions for different games, so you should check if your game supports the resolution that has been set for your PC.

This issue is very common when you change your operating system. In order to avoid this, you can go to Settings and choose the System option.

From System, you should go to the Display option and go to the option that lets you change the size of text, apps, and other items. You should set it to 100%.

Troubleshooting the problem

Then, you need to go to 'Advanced display settings.' From here, click on the recommended settings option.

This will set your PC's settings to whatever the recommended settings are. Once you do this, the PC will request to be restarted.

All you have to do now is restart and check if the game works for you properly.

There is a slight chance that you will still face trouble even after you have followed all the steps detailed above.

In such a situation, you need to check the video drivers for any updates.

Sometimes, users even get dissatisfied when a game won't run properly and blame either the Windows or the game.

In such a case, you might want to check the game's details as well. There are some versions that get old, and that is why they are unable to run properly.

Their functioning would be fine, but they wouldn't fit the screen properly as they did in the previous versions, thus giving you screen resolution issues.

For instance,  Vista runs at a resolution of 800x600. Windows 10, on the other hand, requires a resolution of 1024x768. This is why some games may appear stretched.
